About

The University of West London is a public research university in the United Kingdom which has campuses in Ealing and Brentford in Greater London, as well as in Reading, Berkshire. The university has roots back to 1860, when the Lady Byron School was founded, which later became Ealing College of Higher Education.

We jumped 31 places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 – the biggest rise in the UK. UWL has been ranked 52 in the UK.

In the Guardian University Guide 2021, we jumped 23 places to become one of the top 40 universities in the UK. UWL is now ranked 34 in the UK.

We have one of the most diverse student populations in the country and it is our mission to widen participation in higher education among traditionally under-represented groups.

Location

The University of West London has two campuses, one in Brentford and one in Ealing. Students can access the central of London through regular excellent transport links with the Ealing campus only being twenty minutes away from Heathrow Airport.
