About

The University of Brighton is a public university based on four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne on the south coast of England. Its roots can be traced back to 1858 when the Brighton School of Art was opened in the Royal Pavilion. It achieved university status in 1992.

They have 19,000 students and 2,600 staff studying and working at their four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne. Subjects taught here range from medicine to engineering, psychology to illustration, sport science to English literature.

Free and open to all, they host world class exhibitions, projects, commissions and research by international emerging and established artists alongside our graduate shows.

Location

Located in Brighton’s cultural quarter of the city centre. Brighton CCA is the university’s Centre for Contemporary Arts. It has fast and frequent connections to major cities including Portsmouth, Southampton and London.

The university is situated close to the seafront and within easy reach of the city centre. Brighton is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a diverse range of attractions, including the famous Palace Pier, the Royal Pavilion and the Brighton Dome.
