Bangor University is a university in Bangor, Wales. It received its Royal Charter in 1885 and was one of the founding institutions of the federal University of Wales.

Location
Bangor University is located in the city of Bangor, Wales. The university has a long history dating back to 1884 when it was founded as the University College of North Wales.
Today, the university is a vibrant community of over 11,000 students and 2,000 staff members.
The university is situated on a beautiful campus overlooking the Menai Strait and Snowdonia National Park. The campus is less than ten minutes from nearby shops and nightlife.
